Short Summary:
This study assessed the risk of infection in patients with myasthenia gravis (MG) with thymoma compared to MG patients without thymoma. A retrospective analysis of all adult patients with AChR+ve MG at Stanford Health Care from 2015 to 2022 was performed and identified 141 patients diagnosed with AChR+ve MG, 30 with thymoma, and 111 without thymoma.
Key Conclusions:
- The rates of all non-chemotherapy related infections in patients with MG and thymoma are higher compared to MG patients without thymoma but are similar after adjusting for comorbidities and observable confounders.
