A paper titled, “High-Throughput Observational Evidence Generation Using Linked Electronic Health Record and Claims Data,” was preprinted in medRxiv by authors affiliated with Atropos Health.
Short summary: Observational research has long struggled with a fundamental problem: studies differ in how they define patient populations, select outcomes, and structure follow-up, leaving clinicians, payers, and life science stakeholders without a cohesive evidence base to act on. This paper introduces Atropos Health’s high-throughput evidence generation workflow, applied to linked EHR and administrative claims data, as a path toward more consistent and scalable evidence generation. Using a standardized measurement architecture applied uniformly across clinical scenarios, the workflow produced approximately 33 million outcome evaluations across 40 clinical domains. Around 5,000 narrative summaries underwent structured clinical and statistical quality review before dissemination, enabling Real-World Evidence at a scale previously unattainable in healthcare.
